Why buy from us? In 1970, a lot of artists were starting their record companies to ensure better quality. John Poole wanted to do the same, so we started Anita O'Day Records.
Our company led to jobs for John and Anita in the U.S., Japan, and Sweden. They also began working in the Los Angeles area.
In 1984, John and I moved to Las Vegas and restarted our business as Emily Productions. He had always wanted to write his memoirs from someone who "was there." In 1997 we decided it was now or never. John had collected newspaper articles, pictures, and tapes for 40 years.
John died of congestive heart failure on April 11, 1999. The book is called Jazz, Genius, and Jail. You can download it and print it out at your site.
